Which Hotchkis bar?

The rave reviews for Koni FSD's have convinced me. Hoping to reduce the annoying understeer of the stock setup, I'll be changing the rear sway bar at the same time. H-sport seems like a good choice, but which one? The video from Mini Madness suggests a 19 mm bar is too similar to stock to make a noticeable difference. Is the tubular 25.5 mm bar more than I need?

2010 MCS with 16 in wheels and non-sport suspension. This car is a year-round daily driver that sees snow. Street only, no autocross or track.

The 25.5 hollow is effectively the same as a 22mm solid. I went with the 25.5mm because I knew 19mm wouldn't have been enough to justify the labor to put it in. I heard great reviews about the H-Sport and I got it. I love it!

+1 for the 25.5 hollow competition bar. same stiffness as a 22mm solid bar and less weight. It's the best feeling rear sway bar that I've had. Hotchis bars are top quality and one piece....not like the other highly marketed brand that welds the ends on. (I didnt want to bring out the "other brand" trolls and get your thread off topic).

Any of these bars are adjustable, so that you can fit it to your driving taste and style. The 25.5 bar at the softest setting will still be significantly stiffer than stock, which is what you want to reduce the understeer. I don't think that the 19 mm bar, on its stiffest setting, will provide a big enough change. I ran a H&R 19 mm bar on my car, then swapped it out for the 25.5 bar after a few months.

There are some people that say the 19mm bar is appropriate for the Gen1 cars, but the Gen2 needs a 22mm bar. I would agree based on my experience. Its just a DD, but I like it a bunch.
