Question Accessing Rear Connection of 12V Socket?

I've got a 12V splitter that provides an extra hidden 12V socket under the dash for plugging in my radar detector. I used this on my F56 and it worked great since it uses the existing connection types. We now have a F60 and I'd like to install it there. It was a pretty easy process in the F56 but I don't see an easy way to access the rear of the plug on the F60. Has anyone tried accessing the void space behind the 12V socket? It looks like the panel would be removable if pressure was placed in the right spots but I can't tell where the releases would be at. TIA for any guidance!

grab it from the bottom and pull it straight out. it has 4 metal clips near the corners. you only have about 2 inches of wire back there, so don't pull too hard.
