Hi F60 owners. I am in a 2016 R60 (my second R60) now and will likely be taking delivery of a new F60 next weekend. I have a few questions for those of you who have some experience with the F60.
ROOF RACK CROSS BARS: Have any of you installed Thule cross bars on the F60 yet? Yakima? Others? Id love some photos if you have. I went through this with my R60 and the Thule setup I ended up going with is incredible. Just wondering if I can achieve the same success with the the F60.
PERFORMANCE UPGRADES I like to do the basics. Intake, exhaust for a little more growl and maybe a tuner. Have any of you done this to your F60's yet? Any brands making these types of upgrades? I checked ECS and they dont seem to have anything for the F60 yet.
OUT OF BOX ISSUES: Have any of you experienced any issues with your F60 that I should be aware or leary of?
That should do it! Thank you for any feedback!

Let me know what you are looking for, we were going to add the F60 section but we had an internal site issue and was working on a fix, so it was delayed. We should be adding it here soon, So hold tight.
I have not installed any roof rack so I have no input there.
i have installed a Dinan Sport module that adds 58hp and 61 torque. It now drives like a proper MINI. I also added an AWE carbon fiber intake for a few more hp but mainly for some nice sounds from the turbo now. Terrible throttle lag in this car so installed a Pedal Commander for instant throttle respose...such a difference. H&R lowering springs are on the UPS truck as we speak and should be here on Thursday. They will lower the car 1.5” all the way around. Ordered a set of custom MGP caliper covers just for looks. They look great on my Other car.
Still waiting on someone to make a bolt-on cat back exhaust system for an ALL4 F60. Supersprint may have one but can’t find it for sale in the US. Very little info on it online. The JCW system is available but I would lose my Dinan module to use that system.
i believe an F56 catless downpipe will work on an F60 but will throw a CEL (o2 sensor).
I believe an F56 intercooler upgrade will fitn an F60 as well but thats just a guess from looking at the two stock intercoolers side by side.
I did find a vendor that makes a Catless downpipe and performance exhaust but just can't justify spending $1650 for the whole setup... yet. Might just do the exhaust which is $1300 but that still seems to steep for me. They also offer a Cold Air Intake that pulls air from the drivers side headlight but of course it's not CARB approved. They also have a rear swaybar and rear adjustable control arms for the F60's.
Post up some photos of before and after with the H&R springs.
Installing the springs tomorrow. (9/15) I’ll show some before & after pics. Ive found some videos on installing lowering springs on an F56 and hope the process is similar.
Like any other 1st gen there are issues. Spend a few hours around here and you will read up all about issues.
Not a ton of aftermarket stuff that I'm aware of. It will come I'm sure as the platform ages.
Did a quick video of my F60 after the H&R lowering spring install. Already a 1.5” drop and I think it still will settle a bit more. Looks great but now it may need some bigger wheels and/or some spacers to get it looking just right. Heres the link.

Hey Mattyb13. Take a look at http://www.codemycar.com and feel free to give them a call. They have a few goodies for the F60 including a tune, throttle controller, coding and other options that aren't listed.
[Hi @molesen . Thanks for providing a shot of your F60 with the Tule Aeroblade Edge Crossbars. How has your experience been with the rubber wrap around Mounts? I love Thule but I am having a hard time with this design. Thanks for any additional info. ]

I was skeptical of the design as well but so far no issues.
So as far as mods go, I did the JCW tuning kit. It adds a wicked exhaust with a bluetooth flapper and a mild power gain. I did this due to the warranty staying intact. The car gets a serial number and the kit is attached to the VIN while the car gets a nice JCW badge as well. I only had it 6 days before someone crashed into my car. I liked it for the brief time I had it, but I can see where people will still want more power and it is expensive at $2k, but again, it does preserve the factory warranty and attach to the VIN. The exhaust is LOUD when the baffle is open too. ECS has a pretty good price on it too (shameless plug). I'll post a video when I get the car back.
