I am not really sure if there are models that do and do not have the active sound. From reading through threads here when I bought the car it gave me the impression that all of them have it. My annoyance level depends on the day. Sometimes I don't really mind it and sometimes I would like it to stop. Eventually I will get around to coding it out on the app and see how I like it.
