I have a 2017 mini, and having just moved to a house with a tiny 1 car garage, I am left having to park my car out on the street in some really cold temperatures. As a result, my windows are frozen shut every morning I get in to drive to work. I obviously prefer them shut throughout the drive, as -30F windchill is just too cold to roll the windows down for a nice breeze while driving, but I do need to roll the window down in order to scan my card for entering the parking garage. I do turn the heat up on high, and aim it at my window in an effort to thaw it out by the time I get to the office, but it doesn't work every time, and I am left unsuccessfully trying to roll the window down, which I am sure is adverse burden on the electric motor.
Does anybody have any other solutions to either prevent the windows from freezing, or to get the to thaw out quicker?
