Question MINI Connected App

I have a 2017 S Countryman with Navigation. MINI has a "MINI Connected" app for the iPhone - and it lets you choose a destination and will send that information to the navigation system so you can start navigation. That process worked fine for a while, but then MINI updated the app. It still says it sends the destination information to the navigation system but it never "arrives". I have to set the destination manually on the navigation screens (a much less convenient process). Anyone else have this experience with this app? I wonder if there is a software update for the navigation system that is required. (The car goes into the MINI dealer next month for it's annual checkup and I will ask then also.)

We just bought a 2019 MCS and well it won’t work at all with ours, not real impressed with it. Wife wanted to get it working so she could honk the horn when she can’t find her car in the lot but no feature on the ap works

Recently after finishing an appointment in a city I was not very familiar with, I was walking back to my car but not paying close attention to my walking route. I inadvertently took a different street than one I should have taken, and of course I didn't find my car. Because I was in an unfamiliar place, I also wasn't sure of the name of the street I had actually parked on, so that made finding my car by looking on Google Maps for the street name difficult. My first thought was to return to the appointment location and then get back to my car by paying closer attention to the walking route. Then I remembered Mini Connected on my iPhone. Mini Connected pulled up a map with the last location of the car, which it had updated correctly, and I was able to find the car close by immediately.

The app does seem to have other bugs, but the feature to find the car's current location saved me at least 10 minutes of what would have been wasted time retracing my steps.
