Last week a USB car charger plugged into the front 12V power port stopped working and I thought it was the charger so I swapped it out for an older one I wasn't using, but after plugging it in, it didn't work either. Futzing around with it, spinning it in the socket, pulling out and and reinserting, I've noticed that things can be a little finicky. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, without even touching anything. And as a test I tried the two factory USB jacks, one in the front console, one under the armrest and curiously they show the same issue. When they work, they all work and when they don't they all don't. No other electrical issues that I've spotted. Are these things potentially wired in series on the same failing electrical module? I know at least one of the USB is wired to the MINI Connect audio system so I find it odd that the power fails. Has anyone else noticed this problem? I have an oil change coming up soon, I should have them take a look at it.
