Hey, wondering if anyone has any first hand experience or a good sound clip of the exhaust on the JCW Tuning Kit. I was originally going to get the Dinan Elite, but now leaning towards the JCW Tuning Kit instead. I have found lots of F55/F56 videos online, but nothing on the Countryman yet. The two exhausts are likely different configurations due to space under the vehicles, but curious if the sound is similar in Sport and Sport+. Thanks!
Just installed the Dinan Elite on my 2019 F60. I was going to get the JCW tuning kit as well but after hearing the exhaust note change with the Dinan upgrade.....I may not need it. Getting lots of cool pops on the downshifts and such. That 15hp boost would be nice tho...
What is the JCW Tuning Kit? Software and exhaust? Is it a piggy back tune like Dinan or is it a true tune? We had a CooperS loaner with the JCW Tune and Exhaust and it sounded pretty good. Was loud on start up but while driving was pretty quiet. I'm not sure I'd pay extra for that exhaust though - it was a bit underwhelming. I with AWE would make an exhaust for the CM.
Cool, they could not start it up as there was a bunch of people around. But my guess is that its louder or just like the JCW Tuning kit on the F56. That's because the two pipes are spread apart and might sound louder in person.

That's good to know, thanks for sharing. I was trying to find out if the exhaust note would change with that product but could not find a clear answer. From what I can see on paper, the Dinan Elite bumps the power / torque up a bit higher than the JCW Tuning Kit, so that is a little bit of a trade off between the two.

According to the Mini Accessories website, it is an ECU flash as well as the exhaust modification. The driving modes then incorporate the updated ECU details. The Bluetooth button opens the extra butterfly valve in the exhaust to make it rowdy.
I saw it out at SEMA last year. Did not get to hear it as they did not want to start it up.
Thanks for sharing these. I am going to try to watch them all later when I get to a better computer setup.
As a side note. I stopped by my dealer to order something today. The parts guy said they just ordered one of these kits a week ago and are going to install it on one of their showroom models. He is going to let me know when it is done so I can test drive it. I will let you all know more once I see it in person.
Went to pick up my car yesterday and they already had the install completed of the new kit..... so I got to drive it!
I jumped in the driver's seat and immediately turned on Sport mode and clicked the button for Track mode on the exhaust. It happens quick and you can hear the valve open if the radio is off. It has a nice idle to it. While driving you do get a little more exhaust note in the cabin with and without the windows open. Although I wanted it to be louder to enjoy the pops more. I revved the engine at every light just to hear it more
It seems to pop more if you rev up a gear and then hold onto it. I tried downshifting while coasting and it did not really want to pop. It also seemed to pop more as it warmed up.
When I got back I snagged a couple quick videos while the sales guy revved the engine. I'm trying to find my old account so I can upload them for everyone to hear. It sounds way louder standing there than it does in the car. I do wish it popped more like the coupes because those sound all kinds of fun.
Bottom line.... I definitely still want it, just need to decide if its worth the money. To be continued.
This post is directed to ESCTuning, Great website, nice products ( I really would like that floor jack) anyhoo, You do have 2017 models available to pick from for Mini, which is good. Its just that you don't have the 'Countryman' or 'F60' listed anywhere on your site as an Model available for Mini.
Its like we're the redheaded stepchild. I ordered the Schwaben scan tool for the Mini. It said compatible with 'All' so I rolled the dice and put it in my cart. .
You may want to get your IT department to add the Countryman, or at the very least F60.
small suggestion : )
Have a good one!

I second this notion. I buy stuff from ECS Tuning from time to time, but I always have to do my own homework and find the proper cross-referenced part numbers elsewhere and then go look on the website. It would be really nice if your site was setup for the F60 and it's various trim levels.
We have updated our site to 2019 MINI models. And are adding things daily. If you don't see something let us know, we can add it quickly now up to 2019 models have all been added to our site
Not much, take off the valve cover, couple of plugs unpluged and then plug the main harness in. The little box you find a place in the engine bay to mount and you are good to go. Maybe 20mins if you take your time.
Long shot, but does anyone know if just the exhaust from the JCW tuning kit is available separately? I don’t want all the extra baggage that comes with installing the the control box and the Bluetooth remote… I have a factory JCW and would just plumb the two valves into the sport button like the factory valve.
