What to Bring

Now I kind of feel like a bad MINI-Mommy. I don't use tape unless going to the track.
I figure, LilTiger wants to experience excitement and all that her motoring life has to offer. So, I let her. I view tiny rock chips just like I do wrinkles....if she has a few chips then it simply speaks to the wonderful life's adventures she's experienced along the way.
She wears a little touch up paint occassionally, just as I wear a bit of make-up. We were made for each other!

dents and dings are like battle scars, and every one of them tells a story. I have one nasty ding next to the LF headlight from a trip to Dekalb, IL to take my daughter to her first overnight soccer camp, and another from my first MINI rally in NY with my son, etc., etc.
BUT, the blue painters tape is good to go around the black plastic trim when waxing the fenders. Helps to keep that white crud off.

We'll have 3 sets of radios with us, as will the other MINI peeps we're motoring to Co. with. We'll be in communication with each other throughout the drive, so we figure 3 sets of radios each will get us there w/o worries of recharging.
Thus, once we reach Copper and have had a chance to recharge them all, we'll have plenty to loan out if needed.
Also, what the channel/sub-channel that's used by the club up there?

Those who are willing to lend radios, be sure to put your names and contact info on your radios so you can get them back!
MINI5280 uses channel 7, sub 21.

Well we have biting flies and mosquitoes at 8,000ft here in Aspen, not a lot of them but they are around. I'll be bringing some spray, but maybe I'm just super sweet meat for skeeters, there are less the higher you go. It's been wet enough that it hasn't been a bad year for them. You are right about the fleas and ticks, haven't come across one tick in 17 years here.
Forget the bug spray. We don't have bugs. Like mosquitos - They cannot levitate in our thin air. You will see.
In al the years that we have lived in Colorado (since the 80's, when it was not that crowded out here) we have NEVER had a flea or a tick on any of our multiple dogs. Never once innoculated the cat for anything, she is now 18 yrs old.
Oh, the occasional spider when it gets cold outside will come in. But the dogs eat them if they see them move, so it is not an issue.
We get Miller Moths every few years, but this is not one of those years. And forget cicadas and such noisy creatures. We don't have Oak, Maple, Hickory, Cherry or other hardwood trees that they like. Not a chance.
We DO have Pine Beetles, and you will see lots of evidence of that - brown dying pine trees. Shame. But you cannot ever see the beetles, they live under the bark.
So save the money on bug spray. We only use that in Oklahoma.
