R60 R60 Rear Suspension Noise
R60 Rear Suspension Noise
I have a 2012 Mini Countryman SALL4 with 129k miles. I'm hearing a thumping sound in the passenger-side rear suspension when the car rides over bumps. I replaced the struts, but the sound persists. I've inspected the original sway bar bushing and end links, trailing arm bushing, and control arms' bushings, but they all seem tight. I checked for a worn wheel bearing. The wheel is solid, and I don't hear or feel rough movement when I rotate it.
What are normal rear suspension bushing wear items for a Mini with 129k miles? Thanks

Did you check the cargo area for items that can be making the noise? I have a noise too that I believe is either the cargo cover that is by the rear hatch glass or the wooden cargo deck covering the bottom well. I really need to take everything out and go for a ride. It is driving me crazy.
