Downpipe

Looking to get CNT Racing Mini Cooper exhaust pipe for R56 R55 R57 R60 R58 R59. What codes will pop up and how easy /hard to clear the codes?

You will get a catalyst efficiency code. You can either live with it, try one of the O2 sensor adapters (which don’t typically work), or get the code eliminated with a tune. The tune will be the most fun and least annoying option, but it will cost more money.

So it's the devil in disguise, good use, but gotta live with the code. Thanks. Probably live with code since I will know what the code that pops up. Much appreciated 👍

How is the sound of the downpipe, scratchy, rumble?

On otherwise stock exhaust, it will make it sound slightly louder, but tone shouldn’t change too much. It might be a little bit deeper, but not much.

Just didn't the mini to sould like those Asian ricer burner cars that make irrelevant and irritating muffler sounds.

Good to know. Any recommendations on mufflers?

Can't help you with that one, I have an R55 Clubman, not an R60 Countryman. I can say that I ran the catless down pipe with my stock Cooper S exhaust, and it sounded pretty decent. I have since upgraded to the OEM JCW rear mufflers, and it still sounds great, but I get slightly more drone with the JCW mufflers. I would run it first with your OEM Countryman exhaust and see how you like it.

Ok. Got the downpipe installed, 1st thing I noticed was the eagerness or ease of the turbo kicks in even in sport mode. Now next question would be a good muffler besides Magna flow or flow master, an alternative muffler to give it a nice rumble sound and not a rice burner.
