I bought the MINI Ray Sport Stipes (Alien Green) and the dealer wants to charge $500+ to install them. has anyone installed stripes? How difficult is it? The videos I have seen make it seem fairly simple, but I have never done graphics before. Below is what the stripes look like. I also have a Black Countryman.

 

Just google search "automotive vinyl application" and you'll get a bunch of install tips and tricks. My suggestion would be to go with a wet install. Should make it easier to get the roof and hood all lined up.

 

For vinyl stripes I used a fabric tape measure because you know it's straight lay vinyl next to it and line it up. Then I do them in half. Tape horizontal across with painters tape. Less residue. Do one half so you know it's tight. Wet application doesn't really need heat gun. But a dry application will. A lot of YouTube videos to help.
