Replace TPMS Control Module on Countryman

I have a 2014 Countryman. The TPMS system has been saying it is malfunctioning for a little while and it wont reset. I took it in to a shop and they said the TPMS Control Module is bad and needs to be replaced. They quoted me $1,000 for the repair ($500 for just the control module itself). This seems excessive and I can find a used control module on ebay for $120. Just wondering how hard it is to actually replace it and reprogram the system myself?

Thanks!
