Let me preface this post with a disclaimer. I do not have a Foxwell tool, but I did look at a manual online...
Are you “Checking Codes” or performing an “Auto Scan”?
The “Checking Codes” function of the scanner only looks at OBD codes, which are not very helpful.
By performing an “Auto Scan” the tool checks all the computer modules, and looks for DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes). Those are the codes you want to look at.

1st Gear
Honestly those are hit and miss. Got Bimmer code with obdx+ bluetooth scanner and never miss a code. I would go back under the exhaust manifold and make sure you plugged your everything in. I think your boost controller is down there under the manifold can cause this if vaccum line not in or damaged. Check those brittle vacuum lines and in the general area of coolant lines
