R60 Mini Countryman ALL4 Clutch
Mini Countryman ALL4 Clutch
Hi everybody,
first of all my pleasure to take part of this forum, I'm Giovanni from Palermo, Sicily.
I'm the owner of a Dec 2014 Mini CountryMan S All4 (R60), petrol, manual. I've bought the car on Dec 2019 with around 43000KM, all fine exept the damned Clutch.
After about 6 month I went to BMW service for a change due to che fact that clutch pedal had many noises starting from a stationary position, triyng from a hill much worse and with a bad smell of burned disc.
BMW changed the clutch kit and my insurance provided a new Sachs fly well. After the service the clutch was better than before but the noise still present so back again to the service.
Second round: the AT trasmission changed and after many checks with BMW 2° level, no way, problem still present
Third round: Clutch changed again, a new original BMW fly well and all the components around the clutch box. Now the problem is really less than before, almost solved but some times I feel already some noises so the BMW Service now want to try to change che slave idraulic clutch actuator.
I read all the forum, I know that the clutch in this car may be a big problem but I can't belive that with so many car around the world this problem can't be solved. For example someone report that the problem can be solved with a different after market type of clutch, more resistent and others talk about disabling DSC and ALL4 system.
About this last point does anyone know how to work with all4 or with DSC to make the care less heavy and challenging to start from the stationary for the clutch? Of course if it's possibile to program the car in this way.
I've tryied to disable DSC today, it seems the problem to be less than before and the car more easy to drive.
Tks all for support
