Overheating while A/C on and on Traffic

Hi:

My R60 S, have 132K miles on the Odometer. I leave in Florida and specially during summer months the car tends to overheat. After 5 minutes of traffic the Yellow Temperature Light goes on and after 5 more minutes probably gets red. When the traffic start moving the light disappears. I have an OBDII reader and usually when the yellow light goes on the Temp is around 240F.

The FAN is new both speeds are working.
Thermostat Recall Done
New WAter pump less than 1 year old.

I appreciate if you point me on any direction.

Stop driving it until you get it fixed. You will do some major damage running it hot.

Try cleaning / flushing the cooling system. Sounds like a blockage there somewhere. And check the radiator to see if there is any damage.

I'd flush and refill the system, as mikey t said. If that doesn't fix it, the thermostat may be bad again. They are a terrible design, and known to go out relatively frequently. Some can last 150k miles.... some will last 150 miles. lol
