I've noticed nobody is getting the "exterior style package" -- where it adds that high gloss black plastic piece to the front and rear bumpers, and the silver "skid" plate at front and back. I really sat on the fence about that option-- It looks awesome on certain colours, but I ordered Thunder Grey with white roof and mirror caps and thought the exterior style package might look weird. None of the ones on the lot had it either. Love it on the Island Blue in the promo literature and videos though.
Most of the ones at the lot when I test drove one had that option and I agree, it definitely looks better on some colors... The black one we test drove looked fine (didn't even notice at first since it was black on black), but the white and green ones had it too and it also didn't look bad. Still won't be ordering it with it (I definitely like the look better without it), but it definitely didn't look as bad as I thought it would from the pics I saw...
I had until noon today to make changes to my order-- and I did make some changes. I'm no longer going with Thunder grey-- I changed it to Moonwalk grey. I really wanted a white roof but ultimately, I wasn't in love with the white roof Thunder grey combo without bonnet stripes to help tie it together. The contrast seemed harsh to me, but I blame part of that on the website configurator which never does justice to the colours. I'm a little older now, this is my fourth MINI, and I'm out of the stripes game. That being said, I love the white roof and mirror caps with Moonwalk grey. I didn't add the exterior style package as I am not a fan of how it changes the front bumper but I absolutely love the styling it adds to the rear. So, that is where my head is at. My Countryman ALL4 S will come loaded, but without leather. I'm told it will take 12 weeks to be delivered.
PS. Customizing these cars is agonizing because I always second guess myself and it seems like every picture I see is nicer than the choices I made lol

We took delivery this morning - first F60 delivered from our dealership on this official launch day.
Thrilled with the car so far. Drives really well and clutch is very smooth.
There are SO many new features to learn about this car. I had no idea it had internal HD storage for music files. Voice recognition actually works for inputting addresses and the touchpad is great for searching for music on iPod.
I have to say (at the risk of inciting collective ire), I really don't like the front end of the new Countryman. There's just something weird about the headlights, they don't follow the same design language as other MINIs.
Of course, as a '17 Clubman owner I could be biased . Now if they'd only offer the Clubby as a plug-in-hybrid I'd be all over that.
But anyway, congrats to new owners - nothing quite like that new MINI feel!
Finally, after long last took delivery today. Ordered 2/13, returned my VW diesel to VW on 3/29 with the Mini in the middle of the Atlantic. Down to wife's Fiat until they called me at noon today that the truck pulled up and at the dealer.
Packages: Technology, Premium, JCW Interior plus cloth/leather.
Those of you with F60's is your horn the weakest most pansy sounding horn ever? The one on my wife's F60 is just laughable. It sounds like it belongs on my sons toy peddle car.
