Does anybody have experience using the MINI Fini hitch with a bike rack that holds four bikes? I tried this with the Cooper Crap hitch, which failed, and I'm now back at the drawing board. The MINI Fini hitch seems like it should be the strongest hitch of the options usually discussed. If it would work, I'd go in that direction. Otherwise, I may just buy the factory two-bike rack and be done with it.

I was also looking for a 4 bike rack. Found a used mini factory rack for $225 on Craigslist, so I went with that. You could use that and then add two more bike on the roof.

Yeah, it's occurred to me. The thing is that we use a big ol' Thule box on the roof quite often when taking longer trips, and we can't fit any roof bike racks on with the box on, so in a perfect world I'd like to be able to do 4 bikes off the back. But if we can't be assured the MINI Fini hitch will do the job, we might just buy the rear bike rack as a sort of path of least resistance thing.
