Intermittant ABS fault light

TL/DR: It was the low fluid sensor on the brake fluid reservoir.

2012 countryman with 60000 miles, about every 30 minutes of driving I would get 4 lights, the center exclamation point plus abs, traction and brake. A Google search led to a bad wheel pickup sensor seeming to be the most likely culprit. My tires needed rotating so I removed and cleaned all 4 sensors, they were dirty but no change to fault. So I was going to hook up an old ScanGauge to see if I could get a code but while looking at the code list some where around code # 2375 there was a low fluid code.

Added about 1/4 inch of DOT 4 to bring the level up the bottom of the screen in the brake fluid reservoir, another job well done.

How was it low. Did you have a leak or bleed the brakes.

I'm going with evaporation and lack of preventative maintenance. I never thought to check the level, out of sight out of mind.

Yea, should not have been low unless cap left undone or a bad job on the brake bleed and did not fill it back up by the previous owner or MINI dealership
