R60 Removed Passenger Seat: Airbag Lamp
Removed Passenger Seat: Airbag Lamp
I removed my passenger seat to perform some maintenance, then I replaced it, and the airbag lamp is now lit. I double checked the wiring harness, and it's attached fine. The passenger seat occupant sensor is working fine.
Is there some sort of reset that I need to perform?
I'm not transporting any passengers until I get this worked out.

Yes, at the dealer or a shop that has an airbag reset tool. After an airbag warning is triggered, it won't clear by itself, even if the condition that caused it has been corrected.
You have to have them clear it, maybe charge 1 hour to clear. When you disconnect or pull out the front seats you should disconnect the battery so you will not throw a code.

Ok, that makes sense, thanks for the replies.
How urgent is this, do I proceed directly to the dealer, or can it wait a day or two?
IOW, are my airbags functional as of now?
