I've had two occasions recently where i've been sitting in my CM beside other MINI's at a traffic light. I waved at both of them, got that "WTF" look and no other response from either.

Ditto. Kinda bums me out. I guess there are so many in my area that it's not "special" to see other countryman owners anymore.
I used to own an MGB and an original Mini back in the 70's & 80's and everyone waved back. Maybe its a reflection of the direction society's taken in the last 20 yrs or so. Whatever it is, it is a 'bummer'.....
We keep it going in the jeep world. But with all these new jeepers they buy the jeep for just a car. And don't know anything about it or the wave etc. same probably goes with the mini.
