Noisy engine normal?

I have a 2012 used countryman. 19,000 miles, like new. I noticed the engine makes a lot of noise. This morning it was 10 degrees outside and there was a lot of ticking till warm up. Question is, is this Normal and are these engines built to go the distance?. Thanks

Welcome to the club. Yes your engine will make a lot of noises. The clicking is the direct injectors (I had the same concerns when I first got mine). Then there's the sounds related to the turbo (blow off valve, turbo whine, etc).
Just take care of your engine with regular maintenance and you'll be fine.
I change my oil every 5k, rotate tires regularly and change transmission fluid every 30K and fluid/filter every 60k (this is for the automatics as per the manufacturer of the tranny).

Enjoy!

BTW, I love this car. Not sure what took me so long to get into the countryman . It is the perfect vehicle that covers all needs.
