R60 Would you buy your CM again
Until we drove the Paceman. My wife said it was a lot more comfortable in it's seating, a lot quieter (less road noise) and was just a classier automobile.
Thus, we now own a Paceman S All4 with Autotransmission. The CM lasted only 9 months in our ownership having put on just 10k miles.
That's a big fat no for me, I've just traded mine for an A1 Sportback, I should have done this ages ago, in fact I should never have bought it. I was going to hang on to it until the new 5 door or Clubman arrived, then I drove an A1, 2 days later I'd placed my order and now have to wait until week 12/13 to get it, I can't wait.
As a car the CM is an ok vehicle, as a MINI it's a complete piece of crap. It's not a patch of my previous MINI's, I really wish I'd kept my Clubman, I loved that car, I never really got on with the CM.

As I said as a car it's ok, it gets you from A to B and is reliable, as a MINI it really is crap and not the right fit for the brand.
No idea if they sell the A1 stateside, I've owned a few BMW's nice cars, let down by poor quality, dated interiors, Audi IMO make the best interiors of any mass market brand, it takes something like and RR or Bentley to beat them. I'm no longer fussed about ultimate handling or top speed, it's all accademic when you live in a country with crap roads and an 80kph open road speed limit. I like a comfortable car, Audi does that better than BMW.
Sweet! I just bought an MCS, and we actually thought about getting a 2nd CM instead as well, but in the end, I wanted the original(relatively speaking) to toss around.
Love the CM with ALL4....no other car like it anywhere.....

I wanted a hardtop, but the wife loves my All4, so she made me get her one too. It will be more loaded than my current one, but cheaper.

Are you getting some options in the new one via packages whereas on your current one you ordered them ala carte perhaps?
The only way to go with a MINI, is it an R56?
I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinions...
I'm on my 2nd Audi and I can agree, beautiful interiors..top notch and in my opinion Audi's 30 year+ Quattro system and Subaru's all the time all wheel drive are one of the best systems out there. I hear very good things about the All4 too
My family has one of the first to hit the streets in Kansas City, delivered January 2011. We love our all4 and it is suiting us well. Buy again? Absolutely! I've not been on the forums in the past few years so I'm not up on all the likes/dislikes, issues and merits of this beast, but within our household, it's a rock star!
We have had only a couple of minor issues which were dealt with during scheduled service.

Would I get the CM again?
For the cost and quality of it, yes.
If cost were not an issue, would have gone for a Porsche or Audi S Line or a loaded JCW CM.
But for my budget, the CM S All4 is awesome.

I've had my 2012 Countryman S ALL4 for just over a year and love everyday that I get to drive it. I love the ALL4. I found it used and would probably change the options some on it, but would definitely get another one. I've taken it to the mountains a few times, put it in sport mode, and had a blast. It has 35,000 miles on it, about 12,000 that I have put on it, and I have had no problems with it (knock on wood). I luckily live about 5 miles from a Mini dealership though.
Yes, in fact I just did last Thursday!
I am surprised how differently my '12 Justa CM drives compared to my new All4. The All4 is quieter, rides better and feels more refined and like a more expensive car (which it is). I took a cloverleaf at speed this morning and the All4 carves right through it with no understeer--it handles more like a RWD car. Loving it!

I love my CM and would buy it again. We are a two mini household and love it. But its only been 8k miles so far on the CM so I may think differently after a few years (I doubt it though).
Both of our cars are justa's with not very many options. We paid a little over $26k for the CM. I think the price we paid was a VERY good value for what we got compared to the competitors. For us, car design trumps most everything else, other people in this thread have mentioned competitors cars like the juke and the like. To me, those are just cars, something to get you from A-B. Those cars don't stand out in a crowd, they don't make you smile when you look at them and they sure as hell don't have any large communities surrounding them. (northamericanmotoring.com).
I guess I could understand some peoples frustrations though, i mean, I probably wouldn't buy a JCW with all the bells and whistles, I don't believe its as good a value. Personally, If I was going to spend 40k on a compact SUV, I would probably buy an Evoque or X3 instead.
I love mini and I plan on our next car being the new hardtop S to replace our 09 hardtop. BUT, I will not be buying it this year or maybe not even next. I am sure these first generation cars are going to have there fair share of problems and I want to buy it at the end of all that. More reviews and a general opinions of the car the better so I can make an informed decision.

I have never considered the CM a true MINI from day one. It's just too big. Most if not all of those I have passed by in my MCS never wave. I didn't think CM owners had a clue!
Now I see a thread about buying one again....
I just have no taste for a MINI in SUV form.
Now that new Clubman 4-door concept on the web is another story...

First of all, are you a CM owner? the title of this post is "would you buy your CM again", not "would any CM haters out there ever buy a CM or do you still hold to the archaic, out of touch notion that the CM is not a Mini"? I assume you are not an owner when your post begins "I have never considered the CM a true Mini from day one". After 3 years, it's really getting old with interlopers jumping onto threads intended specifically for owners.
90% of the MCS drivers I pass when I'm IN my MCS JCW don't return the wave. I think most Mini owners nowadays are J. Q. Public car buyers who don't have a clue about the Mini culture and think we are waving at them because we must be mental or something, so they ignore us. It's the same when I'm in my Z06. The "gold chain crowd" Vette owners just don't get it.

That is too funny I had no idea there was mini snobbery about, but I learn something new every day.
Considering the Mini of today has very little in common with the original mini it is actually very amusing to hear such profound statements being made about CM owners.
I spent much time in an original Mini in the UK and let me tell you, you modern mini drivers don't have a clue!!

Waiting for my second CM to arrive, and I am sure I will enjoy it as much as my original Mini, you know the real one from way back when, in England. With the steering on the correct side.
