The dealer indicated a 60,000 mile interval.

I was expecting 15,000 miles. What do you guys recommend?

In general, I think 24K is a good round number that is applicable to a lot cars, but there may be something about a particular model which allows one to go a lot longer (e.g., unusually large filter). And if you're driving on dusty roads frequently, then you need to go a lot shorter. On the Mini, it should be covered by the inspection intervals which come up based on usage.... 60K sounds bogus, but in general, the Mini's intervals seem very long on many things - I think Mini is trying to keep it's "free maintenance" expenses down. Often the total benefit of Mini's free maintenance is an oil change or two and that's about it.

Mini's intervals seem to be about 2x.

At least about 1/2 of routine maintenance will be paid for, which is better than nothing.
