and then a week after this, I'm currently getting back to the original low mpg. Any other reasons why it is low? I'm not an aggressive driver btw. It's a 2012 MINI CMsALL4 Automatic.
You're not giving me much hope. My Paceman is on order and I will be doing mostly city driving to the University of Utah.Originally Posted by MINIall4fan
So, I just bought my MINI for a random dealer here in SLC, UT and I noticed that it was only getting like 22-23 mpg when I was driving it after that. I took it down to the MINI dealership and they changed the oil and said that the oil that was put into was wrong. So, I drove it home from the MINI dealer and was getting 32 mpg

Neutral
I also average about 22-23mpg when in town with my mcs all4 with steptronic. I hit a lot of stop lights so it constant stop and go but on the highway I get around 28mpg. I put the current running mpg on the dash to monitor it live and it helped me understand way my mpg were so low in the city but when you hold a constant 45mph on level roads it gets great mileage. Give it a try for a week or so and you'll get the hang of how to get better mpg. I also noticed the sport mode doesn't seem to affect it that much.
