After Lana has been sitting for a while, she hisses when I first open the door. Doesn't matter if the window or sunroof are open or closed. It sounds like it is coming from the engine compartment. Sounds kinda cool.

But what is it? It doesn't happen every time. It has to be around a hour or more after closing the doors before it happens.

Do all Minis do this, or just the R6x series? Or just mine?

 

Do you have comfort access? If so, Could it be the fuel pump pressurizing the lines in preparation for the engine start? Don't know if that even makes sense but it's the only thing I can think of.

 

Maybe that's her way of welcoming you! Almost as if saying "about time you took me out again!"

 

I do, but she isn't locked in the garage. Still, could be that. If so, that alone was worth the $500.

 

I'm going with that!
