I have had an on going concern with my 2012 R60 All4. When I slowly back up and turn the steering wheel say when leaving a parking spot I hear a metallic popping sound coming from the suspension. I contacted the closest dealer to have the issue checked out, but the SA explained that all R60s do that. Is this so? Or has anyone had this issue corrected?

 

That's the transfer case binding. That used to happen a lot, but I don't hear it much anymore. Maybe I got used to it

Every once in awhile I hear & feel that on my Paceman All4 too, especially when backing up and turning on dry pavement. Glad to know it's not uncommon.
