Stuck boot lid?

So I got a towel stuck in the locking mechanism of my boot lid, any idea on how to get it undone without bringing it in?

Fold down the back seats so you can crawl into the boot, then push on the lid from the inside while someone outside is pulling out and up.

This seems to happen with surprising frequency.

Happened to me too. Give it a good push from the inside.

I did it before in my Traillazer SS. I kept pushing and pushing but it wouldn't open and then I checked to see if it was locked and what do you know, somehow I locked it. Once I unlocked it and pushed on it, it opened right up. Yep felt like a dunbass for 20 minutes trying to get it open.

I gave mine a good firm yank from outside and it opened. Was a gym bag strap.
