Did you check the MINI accessory web site? I'm sure there's a rail attachment for hand guns. Of course, it will only mount where it's inconvenient and will self destruct the first time you use it.
For me as soon as I get in the car, I put mine in the net on the passenger side floor or just between the seat and the emergency brake. Both spots are quickly accessible. Just don't do the pocket on the door. After lots of pratice, the door pocket is to confined to make a quick draw in an emergency.
I agree Steve, the pocket in the door is for transporting, not getting to. My carry only fits int here nicely if it is upside-down and pointed muzzle forward. I would have to reach across my body with my right hand to dip down there and pull it up...not as easy as the netting on the Passenger side or heck, even the glove box for that matter. Now it we only had a decent center console, nothing i would want to carry will fit in the small slidy lidded box they call an armrest.
I use the euro parcel shelf just to the left and under the steering wheel. After some drilling to get used to pulling from that location it works quite well for me.
Now after thinking about it again, I have decided to buy another netting and install it on the drives side, just like the passenger side, buy a leftside in the waistband holster. For me it will be the easiest placement and quickest access for me.
