Power Outlets - any way to have them powered on all the time?

My wife really, really hates how the 12 volt power outlets are only 'powered' when the engine is running on her '12 Countryman S. I want to see if there is a way to have them powered at all times.

I cannot even find a wiring diagram......

Anyone done this?

Thanks!

I have the same objection. I know in some cars....that the solution is in the fuse array. By switching the location of the fuse you can change it from power only when running to power all the time. I've read the manual and I don't think there is that available on a Mini.

It is controlled by a relay in the fusebox. In theory, you could replace the relay with a straight jumper. Personally, I wouldn't mess with the factory circuit and I would run my own separate fused wiring from the battery.
