R60 coolent sensor recall. Now my All4 is rocket powered.

I brought my 2012 All4 in for the temp sensor recall last week. While there they also found a leak on the transfer case, which they installed an upgraded seal.
Since picking it up on Thursday evening, it seems like this thing has a ton of extra power. Is it possibly related to the sensor or is it likely they did an update to the ECU or some other engine tweak? The difference is night and day and am experiencing far greater accelerator response than when I would use Sport Mode.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

I just got my coolant sensor recall work done this week. I definitely didn't notice any difference in power.

Assuming the recall is because of a statistical number of failures. If I was one of the lucky ones with a failed coolant temp sensor, could that be a source of diminished power? What are the symptoms of a failed sensor? Would love to know. I had an issue this past winter on cold mornings or evenings when the car had been sitting in 35F or below. Until I got going for a couple of miles, the engine had little power and the accelerator would be less responsive. If I backed out of my driveway pointing up the hill I live on, I had to really work on a smooth take off (manual trans). It would hesitate and want to stall. Problem went away when it started to warm up here in the spring. I was going to see if it resurfaced this fall/winter.
