Rear license plate bracket?

Alright, so I popped off the temp plate earlier today to see how it mounted up because I have a license plate cover I wanted to install once the real plates came in. While doing this I noticed that the dealer used 3 differnet kinds of screws to attach the temp plate to the mouting bracket. Two were short and looked like they belonged there and two were much longer and gouged in to the paint behind the bracket

After barely being able to get the screws to bite enough to hold the temp plate back on I went on the hunt for more info. Sadly, it looks like this crappy mounting bracket is the one that comes on the CM, according to this which makes me wonder how anyone would be able to get a custom plate cover on. It also seems ridiculously insecure..

From what I have seen in photos, the R56 mounting bracket would be much better because it actually has metal threads for the license plate frame to screw in to.

Has anyone had any experiences with the rear plate mounting bracket they could share? I'm pretty pissed the paint is gouged behind it even though you can't see it. I think I'm going to order an R56 bracket and use that, unless the dealer installs a different plate bracket once the car is fully registered?

Edit: My solution: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-about-it.html

First off, you should get the dealer to fix the paint. That's completely unacceptable.

My R53 had metal inserts in the plate bracket, but they ended up rusting and I couldn't get the bolts out when I sold it. I don't know if the R56 has stainless metal inserts, but I would hope so.
