The range on the bluetooth is huge, and I'm not sure if it is a good thing.

I was in the CM a week ago parked out front, my wife was in the house talking to her father. When I started the car, the BT took over her phone and I was the one talking to her dad. I didn't expect it as I was driving, he hung up. 10 second later, I'm now around the corner, and about 2 blocks down the road and the car rings again. He's calling my wife's phone and it is still paired to the CM!!! It disconnected about 3 seconds later as I got further away from the house.

It happened again two nights ago where I made a call thinking it was on my phone but it was on my wife's phone which was charging in the house, and I was at the end of our block in the CM.

Her phone was Priority #1 and mine is #2. I've since switched it around to prevent this issue.

has anyone had this happen to them?

 

Since I'm the only one who has their phone hooked up to my Countryman it doesn't happen to me in that car... But I notice it every time I drive my mothers Mercedes.... I'll be sitting in the driveway and it says connected to her phone. Makes me laugh... then when I pull out it switches to my phone.

Don't know about the bluetooth, but I did notice the key fob unlock feature works a LONG way from the car.
