Any recommendations on where to purchase OEM parts (specifically oil filters & the like) on-line? The closest MINI dealer is 120+ miles away.

There are lots of places that sell maintenance consumables like oil & filters (Moss Mini, Mini Mania, out motoring, etcetera). For any other OEM parts, I like Pelican Parts. I usually use realoem.com to find the part number I need, and then just cut-and-paste the number into Pelican Parts' website.

A comment on service manuals, MINI service infrmation is all online so you'll have to wait for Bentley publishers to release an R60 manual!

I just called and spoke with someone at Bentley Publishers and there is no ETA at this time. They just released a service manual for R55/56/57 vehicles which has some information on the N16 and N18 engine which are both in the Countryman.

 

i bought some parts from penskeparts.com. They did a great job and were very friendly. Prices were good. Good search on their site as well.
