Anyone else car being built next week

I figure I have another 6-8 weeks left since I'm on the West Coast :(

I have no idea when my Countryman is going to be built. It says scheduled for production, but without a VIN on it yet, I don't think it is far along.
However, my MINI Convertible should arrive at Port Hueneme tomorrow so at least one MINI will be coming soon.

I put my Clubman up for sale, but the longer it is for sale the more I want to just keep it, too. I love that car and only felt I should sell it because of ordering 2 MINIs. I still can't believe I ordered 2 of them--bad bad girl. However the thought of 3 MINIs in the garage is delicious! My ultimate dream come true.

It will take about 8 days to build, two to three days for transport to Southampton port and then it depends on how long it takes to get on a ship. Could be as little as a day or two or, if you just miss a ship, it will be 12 days until the next one and then 20 to 22 days at sea (depending on the ship) to get to Port Hueneme. Best case scenario = 31 days to the distribution center. Worst case scenario = 43 days. It will take about 3-4 or so days to get out of the distribution center (assuming there wasn't any damage in transit that they have to fix) and then add the time top truck it to your dealer. So, your estimate is pretty close. But the good news is that you have an estimate! The most frustrating part is the "on order" status.

My most frustrating part was "Waiting for Transport". Knowing it's built and sitting there waiting on a ship for two weeks drove me crazy. It's on a ship now, with a name and estimated date to be in port....I'm much better, I don't call the ask-mini phone number 10 times a day and have put it in the back of my mine.

Contrats! Not next week but last Tuesday for me!! The wait is getting harder. Not even sure if I can track my order up here in Canada - will have to ask.

At least I am more or less on the East side of the country. What would be cool is if you could take delivery from the distribution centre... that would be a nice 1-2 day drive from Halifax to home for me.

I agree, "awaiting transport" was the worst part. I now have a gorgeous light coffee CountrymanS. Now for a name??? I am considering the following: Mochi, Truffle, Ginger, but welcome other suggestions...not Cocoa, too common, not Latte, too common, but anything else you can think of, let me know!!!

How about "Trenta" as in the 31oz cup of coffee at Starbucks! I consider the Countryman the Trenta of MINIs.
