RGM Rearguard

Just ordered mine from NGP Racing. How long did it take for everyone to get theirs? I understand they hold and batch the orders to the UK.

Here's a quick link in case anyone else is interested in ordering one:

Got mine installed today (blog writeup here). I like the added bit of black to the rear bumper.

Looks great! The really nice thing about these bumper guards is they look like something the car should have come with in the first place.

Looks like they are going to stock them now. Here is an email I got from NGP:
"Todd,
Since we sold our last one of these on Friday, I've already gotten about 5 or 6 orders. Since they seem to be pretty popular, we're just going ahead and placing another order, so you, as well as everyone else, won't have to wait as long to get these. It usually takes a few weeks to get everything ironed out, so I'm really hoping to have the order here in 4-5 weeks.

Thanks,
J_M_

I checked the website and it looks like they only offer these for the Countryman, is that right? Seems like there would be even more demand for the Justa and MCS since there are a lot more of them on the road.

I've only done a test fit with mine but I was very impressed at how well it followed the lip where the hatch closes. Customer service was great, it shipped out the same day I ordered it.

I'm thinking I should have negotiated a finders fee or something. I'm glad everyone is happy.

I'll at least give you a big thank you. I got mine and installed it last week, and I really like it. Definitely a welcome addition for my dog toting mini!

i see they also offer them in silver. has anyone seen one? im wondering if its silver, or really grey in color. the black does go well with the black trim around the bottom of the fenders and bumpers.

As long as the dog is happy, all is good. I have one that refers to me as her "upright". I think it has to do with my being able to get food out of the cabinet and the treat jar from the counter.

Color/texture match to the CM trim is great. Can't think of any of the colours that would require silver.

I just got the bumper guard installed and I think it looks great.

Fenton wants to know if it makes his back side look bigger.

I think he's been reading Sealy's license plate again...

A big thank you shout to Sealy for leading us down this path.

--------------------------------------------------------

Update: 4 months into use, from the look of the bumper guard I'm really glad I got it. I load stuff into Fenton with impunity and, despite me thinking I'm being careful, there's wear there...

These are good options to try, I have used both of them in industrial and ATV applications. You need to make your own template but that way you can get whatever custom look you want.

Does anyone know if they make or sell rubber bumper covers that come down over your back bumper? I know they're atrocious looking - but I'll be parking a lot IN the city where braille parking is the norm. I've seen these contraptions of other cars and was just wondering if they had any that would fit the countryman too.

I understand the need to be different, but isnt the OEM one like $45? readily available & a perfect fit.
What am I missing here?

lived in BK for 15yrs. I have a bumper badger if you want a like new one. They only protect from plate bolts gouging your bumper, but the real damage occurs during the parallel 'sweep' into the spot, when the corners of the bumpers slide.... er kiss.
There is a foam contraption that wraps around, parking garages use these(for upscale monthly residents) but they are pricey & big to store as well as not the quickest to remove/install.
