R60 Rear Bumper Guard
I dont see it on the build. weird. I know it was there when I built mine like 3mos ago. The dealer was going to toss it in if I didn't receive my CM in time for the Take Down cert. ( I did tho)
(I see all sorts of diff changes on the 13' build. They now come factory prepped w/ a bike hitch), also not on the build are the JCW side scuttles ($140 option)
possibly discontinued items? a good parts dept. should be able to find them

I have never seen any OEM bumper protector so I doubt even the best parts person will be able to find one. I also don't like any of the ones in this thread. They need to be ribbed and more raised and a bit softer rubber. How can BMW be so out of touch? No grocery style cargo net, no bumper protector, no idea when it comes to cup holders.
nope, Im not confused or mistaken. There definetely was an OEM CM rear bumper protector available.
limited or discontinued, quite possible. But I was able to select it when I built my CM 3 mos ago.
Maybe I have it save in a PDF build somewhere, most I tossed after receipt of my CM tho.

I called NGP's shop in Lorton a while back and they said they were only in stock at Annapolis -- dude said that if I ordered one they were more than happy to transfer it over the next time they moved product between locations, thought that was pretty nice of them.
Of course, I forgot to call them back -- should get back on that before another season of winter weather hits!

I ordered and received mine last month. New German told me they had all colors in stock. They even have a carbon fiber print now! I stuck with black and it is a awesome product! Matches the black trim perfect, looks factory, I had to point it out to my wife it's so original looking
she thought it had already been there. It should have came with this from mini, seriously

I know this thread is a bit old, but are you still happy with your bumper guards from NGP? I just got my Countryman and I had to put a towel on the bumper to let my dog jump in the boot. I definitely need something like this guard. Can anyone tell me if it scratches easily? I'm wondering about the dog's nails. Even if it does, it's better than scratching the paint. Is there anything different/better available now? Do you still recommend it?
Still loving mine. No problem what so ever. I wouldnt think dog nails would damage it but I'm not sure. My wife doesn't let our dog in the mini because he is way to hyper and would end up scratching the tint trying to stick his head out the window.
I agree - good fit, works great, I don't even think about all the stuff that gets dragged in/out of the CM4 any more - very tough.
The first one I had faded, I contacted them, sent pictures and they replaced it. So far so good on number two. My dogs get in and out on a daily basis, and it doesn't look scratched.
No damage to bumper noted when I removed the first one. Certainly happy with the customer service.

I added extra where there wasn't any. Looked like they kinda skimped on the double sided adhesive on mine.
I need one of these for sure. I got a couple of bumper nicks from putting stuff in and out, and at least one from dog toenails. I also had a crazy lady hit my bumper just hard enough to leave a small dent, so while it's in the body shop for that, the body guys are going to take out my scratches. Seems like a perfect time to get a cover on there to avoid any more damage. I do use that little car as quite the workhorse.
and don't forget your wallet when you go to the dealer!

Got my rear bumper protector from NGP racing on Monday and installed it today. Took all of 5 minutes to install and the fit and finish are amazing. I absolutely love it. Looks like a factory installed piece. MINI should make these a factory option.
wanted to pass some info along:
I was looking at this product, because I specifically wanted to ensure that the edge of the guard had a lip that crossed over vertically (like spilling over the side of the bumper) as this is both an edge that gets scuffed AND a moisture intrusion point on flat-application materials.

However, I called NGP and they confirmed their product DOES have the lip also.

In addition, through end of April, NGP's guard is $20 off. Good deal!
