Configurator Updated for 2012

Just so you all know, I went on to the official configurator last night and it looks like they have the 2012 options and packages for the Countryman. Yeah, I've been obsessively checking over the last few weeks...

You're two days late to the party, but thanks for the heads up!

Anyway, what are you going to get?

Shucks! Yeah, I am late to the party, how embarrassing! Guess I wasn't as obsessive as others! Looking at getting a Countryman S, Surf Blue with a sunroof, heated seats, and possibly MINI Connected + Nav. I'm torn on the Connected+Nav because much of the MINI Connected stuff won't work with my Android based phone. I've also seen what others have had to say, essentially, that Connected is not feature complete and it's unclear if updates would be available to the system. On the other hand, I want a fully integrated nav system.

I think I'll probably end up getting Connected+Nav and take a chance that an update will one day allow me to fully utilize Connected with my Android phone and become generally more useful.

I don't understand the "rear mounted bike rack prep" that's standard. What if I don't want a bike rack? I have to have that thing hanging out under the bumper?

It's hidden - and just a couple of bolt holes behind the bumper cover. You won't even know it's there. There's lots of other stuff to worry about - you can cross this one off the list.

Sealy - Who wonders if you've gotten into colors yet.

So my CM is on the platinum ray and should be here in a couple of weeks. I noticed after building the car with the new configs that it costs about $500 more then when i first built it with the dealer. I hope he doesnt raise the price on me...
