Quote: Well, I'm an official CS club member now!! Wanted to wait until I got the stripes done before posting pics. Here's my baby. In addition to the stripes, I had the JCW exhaust and JCW front lip installed.

Really nice job with the stripes and the color choice!

Congratulations! It will be worth the wait. The silver and chrome is sharp indeed. It's also the color option I've seen the least of on the Countryman - so that's kind of cool too I think.

Yes I think it will look great. I also got the Black Union Jack side mirrors, rear view mirror, and side scuttles. I have the regular Union Jack on my car now. Polar Beige interior and a sport stripe up the bonnet and boot. I am a real Brit lover and have friends from there, so therefore the flags.

Accidental CM owner here. Went for a repair on my Clubman an two hours later came out with a Crystal Silver CM. Does anyone knows where to get the side light cover in black like all of you with the CMS have? I don't like the silver on silver the CM has. And if anyone has done the switch...how do you remove this part?

It comes in black as a default (if this is the piece I think you're talking about) - mine is only silver because I got the "chrome line" package for the outside of my car.

Went to the dealer. Turns out silver (gray) is the default for CM as opposded to black for CMS. But the salesperson told me the easiest thing to do was to remove mine and paint it black. Has anyone done this?

I have not taken mine off, just the lens for the repeater light but I think it is easy to do. Paint is the easiest and cheapest, just be sure to get a plastic paint that won't crack or peel.
Before you do this though, what are you going to do about the roof rails. They match the side scuttles, don't they? You wouldn't want a brown shoes / black belt situation, would you?

Painting would be the cheapest for sure. They are on eBay right now. Just search countryman scuttles. A tip is to tape them off on the car good and cover/tape the rest of the car with old bedspreads to prevent overspray. A flat black primer actually matches the fender trim better than the originals. The originals have a deep charcoal grey appearance. And welcome to countryman land, where the back seats have doors

Plastidip the scuttles. At least then it's reversible.

Thanks guys! I did not realized that the rails match the vents. But I am ok with them resembling the rest of the car while the vents make a contrast to the other trims. Great advice about the paint. I will research taking them off for painting before I resort to do it in place. I don't trust myself with that.

Has anybody traded up to fat rims and tires (ala BMW X5 sport)? I am tempted to go for that look but would like to see a picture of the results first.

Beautiful Xenor!

I have to say that if I had ordered mine, I may well have gone the Crystal Silver route - the roof/mirrors and body. I love the way it looks - very retro and classic. Excellent choice!

Thanks guys. I was nervous about the choice, but I think it was the right one for me. I am installing a clear bra (full hood wrap, bumper, mirrors, partial roof, door sills, door edges, boot sill) and tint (32% front, and %25 rears) on Friday. I will take some proper pictures after that.

Love the CS/CS! But then again I'm partial. Enjoy the modification process.

Good luck!
