Yes the dealer pulled our CM's teeth. Leaving just the shells of the holders. I am working on a drop in solution...anodized aluminum. My guitarist is a gunsmith and can build anything...if I can get the design into the realm of affordable, I will share it here.

Found a great 12-14 ounce porcelain travel mug that fits!
I got mine at Target--but it is not on Amazon or Target's website. It is available in bulk all over the place. My suggestion is to check the Target store.
Also, 16 oz.size bottled waters fit perfectly.
UPDATE: Just found a pink sleeved and a black sleeved Alta porcelain travel mug at my local Publix--for $4 less than Target--$7.99. I bought a pink one so now both of us have one. Yay!

Nice find. That will help with home supplied sustenance...but the local fast food joint wont fill yer mug for you. And I need me a good 54oz of ice tea on occasion.

Yeah, I'm not so much worried about finding something that fits as I am about fast food styrofoam cups and the like. Don't need my passengers stuffing their cups into the holders only to have exploding drinks all over my CMS.

When I travel I order the smallest drink and before I leave I re-fill to the brim and then pour it into my travel mug. So, as long as everyone has their own travel mug you won't have to destroy a cardboard/styrfoam cup and make a mess. If, for some hot dry reason I need to get a big gulp plastic cup drink then I flip up the arm rest and I have a rail cup holder there for it. Anyone else would have to hold theirs until they drink it or can pour it into their mug.

These look interesting! I will probably pick one up to see how it works. It was designed to fit into the small cup holders on child booster seats.

I found some pretty good Savor travel cups for about $8 at Target - they hold 12 ounces, metal outside with grip band, insulated, fit our cup holders, and are short enough you don't bash your knuckles shifting into 5th. I don't see them on the online site.

Anything larger than a 12oz cup? I found that my WAWA 20oz actually fits and the cup is made of paper.

Savor has lots of different cups, as do other providers, that have more capacity. Whether they fit in our cup holders, though, is not so likely. Alternatively, have you seen the ridiculous micro-capacity MINI cup?

AND, there's the question of how much fluid you need at a go. After all, with our MINIscule fuel tank, how far can you go between fill-ups - of the cup?

Is the "mini" cup supposed to fit and not get stuck in the cup holders any better or worse then something you would buy at target etc.?

The MINI cup is only 8 oz. Good for an espresso.

Nice! Can you show a picture of it in your CM?

I just picked up my Countryman on Saturday, and I was excited to find that my favorite coffee mug fits in the front cup holder perfectly. It's a 14 oz Thermos stainless steel mug (Amazon link), and you can drink out of any part of the lid. I've been using it for years now, and I highly recommend it.

Since I have been having issues with fast food drink cups, etc., especially any styrofoam cup (I had one get pierced by the slats in the cup holder), I have been looking for something to put into the cup holders that would assist in holding bigger cups, yet not look awkward.

I found these at Target, in the bathroom accessories. It is a cup/tumbler. It sits nicely in the holder and widens up at the top enough to hold various sizes of cups, securely. It is a powder coated metallic looking greyish/brownish color. It almost matches the anthracite. I still might try to change the color, but it is working quite well for enlarging my cupholders' capacity.

http://www.target.com/p/interDesign-...i_detailbutton

It says it is bronze, but it doesn't look bronze to me. I am relatively satisfied for the moment, until something better comes along. It doesn't address the problem of the cups blocking the window button so I usually keep my cups in the passenger side cup holder. Nothing will address this, sadly.

Couple of quick reviews. . .

I ordered a couple different product to try out. None of which were much good!

First off:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...00_i00_details (dont let the add fool you! Only one comes for that price!)

DO NOT WORK! Not even close to fitting in the front cup holders or the rear rail cup holders!

Second:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...00_i00_details

Does not work in the front cup holders but will fit perfectly in the rear rail cup holders! I have yet to try and load it up with beverages yet, so I will let you know how that goes on a road trip.

Third: http://www.amazon.com/IN-ZONE-INC-04...ref=pd_sim_k_4

This 18oz tumbler works perfect in the front holders! the quality isn't the best compared to some other thermoses I have but, rugged enough to last a few years I would imagine. Comes in quite a few colors as well. I found mine at the local Target. Amazon is a few dollars cheaper.

Happy Motoring!

IMHO, getting travel mugs that fit the front cup holder only get you more frustrated when you jam your fingers against it when you shift or makes you take your eyes off the road when you try to open/close windows or use anything else smartly placed behind your newly purchase mug. I stopped using it months ago. It is my garage door opener holder.

This happened to me. The grips inside the cup holder tore a hole into a cup, spilled warm liquids all over me. Luckily, I had some paper towels and clean wipes in the car and the moster rubber mats, so I just placed the cup on the rubber mat and dumped that out when I was able to stop.

our last cup holders just had a flat bottom, no grips to jab into cups or Styrofoam

I've been lucky with most of the Starbucks "grande" sized containers. I have a stainless steel version and an enamel colored one too. Plus, the standard paper "grande" size drinks fits well - no spills. It does block the lower row of switches a bit but so far 6 months and no spills!

Good luck fellow CM owners!

Just had some friends in my CMS and they all had medium sized paper cups from Taco Bell and no problems. Still worry about the styrofoam cups though.

Oh, and FYI, those cups that are so popular now, the Tervis tumblers... the medium sized cups fit just right in my cup holders. I use them for coffee, water, just about anything. And they fit very snug.

I saw these at Bed, Bath and Beyond and snapped a photo for this forum. I personally don't have any problems with my cupholders, they are small, but both my contigo things fit. So if anyone does purchase these alternative solutions, please let me know if they work!

This is key info for me thank you. I wonder if "vent" would work too - isn't it the same size at the base just taller?

Speaking of Target and travel mugs, I found this beauty at one the other day...

Yes, it's huge. Ironically this bad boy is Bubba, and Bubba comes with a...
