My r60s is at 900 miles, should I use the sport button now? And is there a proper way to do it? For example not enabling sport mode while driving or other things, this is my first proper car and love it. Don't want to mess things up.

If my Countryman doesn't have the sport button, does it still have the over boost function when I hit the kickdown?

The Sport feels more of the Kick in auto then in the manual.

Is there some rule that say's you can't use the sport button, it's a modern car designed to be thrashed from the get go, cars don't need to be broken in these days.

Not according to the manual. The manual says 1200 miles, IIRC. Nothing about not using the sport button, though.

I'm not saying break-in periods are necessary, but that's what the manual says.

I think you are ok now. Just keep the rpms in proper breakin range and don't cruise at a constant speed. With the sport button pressed your next 300 miles will fly by.

i have the rc mentality with whatever i buy. i race nitro and electric rc's that need break in lol. so its safe to have it in sport mode 24/7? too fun not to.

I have an R56 non-S and the sport button is awesome, however I just installed the Sprint Booster and it trumps the sport button. Worth every penny, you will not believe the difference.
