dealer discounts on ALL4

after a long break. i have got my eyes on an ALL4. from my past MCS experience. some dealer will discount their cars on the lot.

i want to post this out there and see if anyone on mid-atlantic region that might know any dealers that offering any incentives or discounts. in DC area, i have two dealers has completely difference prices. one is dead on the MSRP. the other one can go down to $1000 difference, but the inventory is very limited.

your opinion will be appreciated.

thanks in advance.

You are correct...11's CM inventory is light.

You may have to order the 12's to get what you want.

Anything different on 2012 models than 11?
Should I wait or should I take advantage of the current pricing. I expect a price increase as well being it will be 2012.

Not sure what to do now.

2012 models went up about $100 but floor mats are now thrown-in. No color/interior changes. Blacked-out Xenon surrounds starting in Sept, 3-place rear bench seat starting in Nov. Changes to "packages" with the addition of the "Technology Package".

Search for "2012 prices". Someone has posted 2012 MINI prices and packages as a PDF.

There is a change to the colors on the R56 & R57 - Horizon Blue is no longer offered and is replaced by Lightning Blue. Last week I ordered our 2012 MCS Convertible and it's in production now so it should be available end of July or beginning August.

Just to be clear, I believe the OP's question was related to the Countryman (R60) models. Color choices for the R60 remain unchanged.

I have found the profit specs and new package changes. It seems that if you want the premium and cold weather package on 11 on a 12. It will cost more bein the new packages has more small addons but lack of big options. Sunroof and H&k can really add up when you order them separately.

After all. I seems better deal to grab a 11 than 12 from option point of view.

There are overwhelming amount of tiny sad options that need to be ordered instead of being part of the actual car. For a 2012 year model. Most of the small electronic options should be an inclusion instead of exclusion.

It make me feel like I am ordering an older model car which being modified by factory professional instead of "Joe the import tuner" from down the street. Very confusing if I should be happy about customization or option rip off.

It's great to have so many options to choose from in the car which makes it unique. But I think no company should sell adaptive head light as an option when only one type of light will work with it. It is not an option. It is an up charge! It's not the price and money. I think it is more a common sense than try to be smart on pricing. What's next? $99 for extra 6" of leg room and call it a economy plus?

Just needed to vent.

Your dealer can call around to see if any other dealer has a CM that has your options or close to your options...and make a trade for it.

The hardest to get will be an Auto w/ NAV & MINI Connected...if you can live w/o those...have your MA do the search...make him earn his pay...why should you do all of the work?

thank you for your input. i am waiting for the dealers to see if they can get their hands on anything. it seems they have a $1000 discount on their inventory in stock. no word on if they will do the same with one they will grab off the ports yet. two days later, they have not came up anything. from my shopping around, i know there are 3 that are on their way to the ports on this end and they can grab it if they want. I am not sure whats the hold up on their response. it will be interesting to see what they can come up.

I felt like the dealers are not offering any discounts to motivate people to buy it from them over other dealers in the area. I know it's a hot car on the lot and inventory is very limited, but the lack of incentive and motivation on buyers make me feel like that i am trying to buy a ferrari with $30 in my pockets.

The whole buiying experience has changed a lot from my first MCS to CM. with 5 dealers in my area, it is actually shocking. I hope this will change soon.
