R60 2012 Countryman on order!
Thanks guys! I'm loving her! Love the Mission Control feature of Mini Connected; our cars have so much personality! I love it! Eat your heart out Kitt!
Only thing I'm not in love with so far are the Leatherette seats. They make me sweaty. So I'm thinking about getting seat covers. Not sure from where though. Anyone have any good suggestions?

Stitch and my husband's un-named BMW M3...

And Stitch all by herself in the front parking lot at work.

Used to park out back, but there are WAY too many chances for door dings.

Where oh where????
Where is my countryman??? The ol status changed to "en route" around the 19th - 20th of March. The VIN doesn't show up on WW website. I don't think the K-line ships go to California. It looked like the schedule on WW showed next ship heading my way doesn't leave until 3/27. Confused. Anyone else having same problem?

There is a boat coming in on the 11th from BMW (same as MINI) called Glorious Express. Could be yours!
Thanks 52804x4
Hopefully that is my boat. Thanks for the info. I will be bugging my MA in the am to confirm.
Congrats!
Did you figure out the issue?
I'm In VB also, maybe see you at the MINIs on the ferry run. if you get it back before then. I think they are meeting at the Sears Service center on Witchduck at 7:30 and ride to Yorktown.
Check Engine Light was due to a loose wiring harness on the engine heater.
Random seat belt warning/gong is still a mystery... though apparently I'm not the only one - http://www.cravenspeed.com/chimex/
I was planning on headed right to Yorktown but Witchduck is right around the corner! Guess I'll have to leave a lil earlier

Wouldn't that be nice! One mistake I made when I was searching WW is I copied and pasted my VIN from the invoice my dealer sent me - it has a space, a break in the middle and I kept coming up with nothing. I removed the space so it was one long sequence and wouldn't you know it - there I was.
My Countryman hit port in Baltimore on 3/22 and is being delivered to the dealer in Kentucky today. By what my MA said, it left the VDC the same day that it arrived. Had planned on waiting till next weekend to pick up, but decided that a day off of work was in order.
Really!? When are you going to be able to pick it up? I was on the same ship and my MA told me next Friday (Minnesota). I wonder if it is possible that I could get that bumped up!?
over in first gear it has been said that dealers are trying everything they can to get cars to their owners by the end of them month. i think that means that they are coming out with some new deals for april, or they are wanting to bump their march/first quarter numbers. i only have one day this week (without taking a day off from work) that i could pick up my cm before next tuesday. so im debating on holding off regardless incase there is a something like the motor-tober event ( 0.9% + $750 ?!?!?!?!) or just pick it up at the first moment i can!!
Ordered my Countryman on Saturday morning at Universal City in Los Angeles. Very excited! My dealer told me that he thinks there's a possibility that it could arrive by the end of April or early May...that seems oddly quick...
I'm trying to plug in my production number in the owners lounge to register, but my production number doesn't match my car yet. He said it would take a few days....
How quickly have people been getting their cars within the last few months?

The wait can get a little

The info on the OL should switch within a day or so.
You are correct in saying the timeline quoted by your MA seems oddly quick. Unless your car finishes production this week, it would take a small miracle for it to arrive in LA by the end of April, and all the stars would have to align perfectly for early May. looking at transit alone:
- It takes a few days to get from the factory to the port.
- Wait time to get on a ship varies but it's the key factor in speed for delivery. It can be a week or two.
- It's a 25 day boat ride to the West Coast, give or take a couple.
- Once the car is on a ship, you should be able to predict your delivery date witin a day or so. You're in LA so it should take no more than a two or three days to be at the dealer once it gets to the US.
Mine took 7 weeks to be delivered once it finished production. Patience is the name of the game.
I'm at 8 weeks now and I don't even have my car yet - plus I live only 1/2 hr away from the port so it's not like there's additional travel time.
I'm hoping to have it by 9 1/2 weeks - so yeah just shy of TEN weeks would be my guess from ordering to at my door.

Wow, thanks for all the stats, everyone! Hopefully I can get into the owners lounge soon. I also heard that checking online is a few days behind calling ASK-MINI...right?
From reading through this thread, it sounds like it might just be easier to try and forget I ordered the car so that when it finally comes, it's more of a surprise!

Most likely due to the fact that the dealer already had an order for a CM in place, and they have a small window to make changes. That's how mine worked. Other wise I had to wait 2.5 weeks to place my order (or at least have it submitted).
