R60 Bluetooth Question?
Bluetooth Question?
I ordered my CM-S with the Bluetooth option (no Mini connected/nav option). Will it control an iPhone (music) without plugging in the USB cable? Advance songs, etc. My current car does this with my Blackberry via Bluetooth.
Thanks,

NO. You need the iPod/iphone cable which connects to the USB and Aux Audio ports to control and play an iPhone.
The bluetooth w/out Connected only has the phone profiles included, so all you can do is make/receive phone calls.

I guess the simple answer is to drop the music on a USB flash drive and just leave it plugged into the port. This way I won't need to worry about a place to put the iphone if it is only connected by bluetooth. My wife can leave her iphone in her purse. I can leave my blackberry in my pocket.
I can only guess that Pandora will not work without the connected feature as well? Is this correct?
Thanks again for the reply,

I did a forum search on Pandora and found my answer. Unless you have the mini connected it will not play as an integrated device. You can play it from the phone through the aux jack (or I assume bluetooth) but you won't have control via the radio.
Still it is hard to complain with HD Radio, 1 yr of Sirius, USB flash music, connecting an iPhone to the jacks or playing the music from the phone via bluetooth (even though it is not integrated). A lot of options.
