R60 mud flaps
The install is a piece of cake. I did mine back in Dec, in my garage, figure 30-40 minutes top. Tools are minimal, a screwdriver, a tool to remove a couple of plastic rivets and some cleaner, maybe some 3M adhesive promoter. I did not use all of the supplied screws and did not drill any new holes. Hold the flap in place, note which screw/rivet needs removed, install the blind nut and its a done deal. The 3M seal tape needs a clean surface, I have used 3M adhesive promoter with this tape and it really allows the seal to bond to the surface.
The flaps have done a great job of keeping the car cleaner, this winter has been a good test. Plus the looks are improved, they finish the curve of the well.

We are going to be having our annual membership meeting at Victory Brewing in Downingtown on Sunday March 27th. The details will be posted shortly on our site. If you're interested, I can let you know as soon as it gets posted and I could get you reserved since we are looking at over 100 attendees.

Just checked the dealer website under Mini Motoring Accessories:
CM Mud Flaps;
Front Pair: $122.75 + 43.25 installation
Rear Pair: $122.00 + 52.50 installation
Grand Total: $340.80 + 29.40 Tax = $370.20
Not bad for an item you can get on e-bay motors (from a mini dealer no less) for $94 shipped to your door.
I believe I know who will be installing the mud flaps when we get the CM
~Cheers

I read it as $112.75 (w/o installation $43.25) thinking that $43.25 was the installation charge. My bad.
You're right though, an hours worth of labor is not really much to haggle over. My work load is sufficient enough that I don't neeed to be pulling wheels off a new car in the cold weather to save $100 labor. I'd rather have that extra hour one morning to sleep late.
Thanks for pointing that out.

The fronts are more important than the rears. You'll be getting stone chips on your doors and black trim more so without the fronts. Get them all around, it just won't look right with only one set.
~Cheers!
cheers
I guess I was just throwing that out there without much thought. All the shots I have seen so far have been very much closeups so really any wider shot would be great.

Mike hasn't been on much lately, but I can answer you. Yes, because there is drilling involved. I installed them about 2 weeks ago on my wife's CM.
You can see the mud-flaps on our CM.

I guess if you have the right tools and are mechanically inclined you could get it done without removing the wheels. I don't know the car that well so I may be wrong.
Does anyone know if you can still remove the rear bumper after the rear mudflaps are installed? I have to remove the bumper to install the MiniFini hitch and need to know if the dealer installs the mudflaps first that I can still remove the bumper later.
If you go to your dealer's website and search for Countryman mud flaps under Accessories, you'll see that the dealer charges the equivalent of 0.5 hours labor to install each set (front or rear), or a total of one hour for all four. Make sure that you bring this to the attention of the SA as I did when I had my front mud flaps installed, because when I originally inquired about the price I was given an estimate that included a couple of hours of labor time (for just the front flaps). I pointed out that the installed price listed on their own website was significantly lower, and they eventually acquiesced.

I said I'd take the flaps and install them myself. There's a lot of good information on NAM and I don't anticipate any trouble, thanks to our friends.
My dealer provided the front and rear mud flaps at a discount, with a discount on labor as well. Then they said they had done this before and quoted the labor at one hour per flap - or about $720 less discount.

Took me 40 minutes to get the right front flap on. Took 5 minutes to get the left front flap on.

The trickest part with the rear flap was securing the bottom most bolt closest to the car's center. I finally realized that the existing plastic rivit could be cut away easily by getting a pair of wire cutters at the rivit's "feet" and that the best method was by looking at it from a position that has your head near the rear center bumper, viewing along the exhaust pipe on the side you're installing. Sounds weird, but if you get your head down there and angle your head to see the rivit's feet, you'll figure it out.
Again, the first took much longer. I do recall that any holes I did drill were strictly through plastic.
Have fun. I know my install labor savings are going towards some other thingamabob for my CM!!
Good luck and feel free to shout if questions!
