R60 Performance Tires in Rain & Snow
Performance Tires in Rain & Snow
One of the reasons I'm considering getting the All4 is for improved performance in bad weather, particularly in the snow. Weather patterns are changing and we in the northeast are in for snowier winters.
That being said, my general driving preference would be the performance tires rather than the all-season, but only if the performance tires do well in the snow.
Just hoping some folks can share their experiences with the performance tires in the snow.
Also, how many miles should one expect to get out ove the performance tires versus the all-weather?
Thanks

I doubt you will ever see performance tires do all that great in snow. They are generally designed for warm weather. Some people run performance tires in the summer and have a second set of tires/rims they put on in the winter with winter tires. I'm going to be swapping out our 18" run flats with an ultra high performance all season tire when our CM arrives at the end of this month. Don't want to do two sets of tires/rims, just a personal preference.
