What is the countryman "D"? Is that the Non-S model in Europe?

I'm new to this forum, but in the market for a new ride within the next 1 - 2 years. I congrat and envy the folks with their new CM's. I have a 2003 sedan & 1999 SUV that both run on reg gas & 2008 SUV hybrid/premium. I'm taking interest in the CM because of it's looks, features and of course it's a Mini, also looking at the X1 supposedly coming this Fall. But with premium gas edging about $3.50 and possibly $4+ by the end of the year, intersted in diesels. I know diesel prices are close to premium, but the gal/mi is almost double. I have my fingers crossed for the "SD" power CM's to come state side: http://www.motoringfile.com/2011/01/...va/#more-14871. I'm also hoping that options in the next or 2 model year will include:
Ventilated seats, auto start/stop, heated steering wheels & heated windshield. Happy Mini-Motoring!
