Who's Countryman is sitting at the VDC?

I'm curious what people have seen in terms of time from when their car gets off the boat and when it leaves the VDC. My car got off the boat at Port Hueneme on the 21st, (at least I hope it did since the boat has now left for Japan).

I'm curious how long your car sat before you saw or heard any update.

Weeeellllll.... Mine has been sitting since the 10th, Oh look! It's the 23rd.

Issues with some bad decals, MINI corp/BMW is supposed to get it resolved. Many other Countryman are affected.

I suspect yours too will be waiting for the magic decal.

Or if your lucky, you will be in and out and on the truck in less than 5 days.

Crazy! That must be frustrating. Did your status change to at the VDC on the owner's lounge or is it sitting in limbo somewhere?

Seems like East coasters are getting their cars. I wonder if anyone has gotten their Countryman coming into California. My dealer has 9 Countryman that were on the boat with mine and a number of them stuck from the boat from the 10th.

It seems crazy that there isn't anyone who can tell you what exactly is going on.

Last time I looked at the online (yesterday), MINI online thinks the boat is still on the way. I think the MINI online person is on vacation.

My dealer sent me a corp. system update, saying at VDC but not processed into VDC, waiting on customs release.

Now that really sucks, so about 50-200 Countryman are going to get released all at one time.

Tis the Holidays, be Merry.

I would guess MINI blew this Christmas present for my wife, she still loves me (I hope).

It looks like mine arrived at VDC on 21 Dec. I would guess it has the same decal issue. I am sure things will not move to quickly due to the holidays. My wifes Christmas present it also blown. Her birthday is 1 jan but that may not work either. I already sold my other car. We sit and wait.

Mine was at the VDC on 12/8 and arrived at the dealer on the 13th. The WW site showed it cleared customs on the 12/8. Hope everyone gets there cars soon!

good news

While I believe my countryman is still at the VDC (been there for 6 days), my MINI dealer (White Plains, NY) just got in about 30 Countrymen last night. Unfortunately mine was not one of them. The Manager of the store told me the sticker problem has been resolved. I expect alot of people will be getting calls early next week for pickup

Wonder of Wonders, MINI online updated today with a possible delivery date of 12/29.

My dealer confirmed that might be a very good date.

Appears the confusion has been resolved at the VDC.

Don

Motoring, hopefully on New Years in our CM.

It appears that the door jam stickers on the Countryman omitted the rear axle Gross Weight details-required by DOT and that is what has held up the cars at the VDC. Replacements are coming!

Ya I said 30 cause I think that was what the manager told me...there were countryman all over the place. Honestly I think the number was closer to 20.

FYI I have a delivery date of 12/24/10 so I'm hoping I will be able to pick up on Monday.

Coming to Colorado, a couple more days on the truck for us than you, I think.

I hope it makes it the 29th so the dealer can do PDI and put get some items done we requested.

Put up pictures folks when you start getting them.

Merry Christmas....

Keeping my fingers crossed - Mr. Bickles should arrive today and be ready to pick up tomorrow.
I cleaned Truman up this morning. I will be so sad to see him go. He's been a wonderful car. Wish I could keep both of them!

Just got an email from my MA saying that they expect mine to go through inspection today but not get on a truck until Wed or Thurs. That would put the car to the dealer on Friday just before they shut down early for the holiday weekend.

I'm hoping we can gain a day here somewhere so I can get it on Friday.

Hey Tuna, let us know, I think the Colorado CMs are still stuck in California or on a truck in the rain/snow.

Next week, here's hoping.

Oh I will! I'm leaving for Vegas for a week on Tuesday so I'll be really bummed if I can't pick it up until Monday.

Still waiting here. Sounds like it will be luck only if they arrive next week even.

We just had an ugly snow storm here yesterday. And as I was driving home in my MINI S and I was uttering to no one in particular how much better this 22 mi drive home would have been in my All4 Countryman!

I was by the grace of god I made it home alive and was not crunched by OP driving like idiots.

We got 5 inches of snow in 1 hour with gale force wind and it was like an ice skating rink driving home.

Here is to fingers crossed a Countryman delivery next week

you are right. The countryman would have been nice during this storm in Colorado. Luckly I had my truck. My MCS stayed tucked in the garage. Loveland Mini indicated that the Countryman will be in next week. we will see.

At last...

Finally I can move to this thread. The Oberon delivered my Countryman to the NY port yesterday so now it is less than 100 miles from it utlimate destination. Hopefullyh the stay at the VDC will be short as it is just a short haul to Philly. Almost home!
