Just checked.

My countryman was ordered last Saturday. Order placed on Tuesday 11/23. My status is listed as production confirmed without a production date. How long does this next step take?!

The answer to your question depends on many things, mostly the allocation slot that your dealer has assigned you. Ask your MA what production week your Countryman is scheduled for, or ask the reps at ASK-MINI.

Hey Midnight,

We got our VIN number on Monday @ 8:32 it started production. It's in the paint shop and scheduled to be completed on 11/30.

We ordered the flat load floor. You will need it to cover the well in the floor. It cost $250 and is option 4UL. You could easily get it after the fact. It is just like the style the Clubman has as far as the simplicity to install it.

anthracite headliner
mini connected with Nav

reading some other post I think I may have mis understood the standard wheels. I ordered 2P9s thinking the tunnel spokes were standard. After reading it seems I chose silver instead of anthracite
Who was your sales person?
I'm a little pissed since we were 2nd & 3rd on the list to put our names in to be notified as soon as they were able to place an order. My wife's car was ordered on 11/6. That's when our sales person called us saying we could finally order.
It's also sad when you know more information about the vehicle than your salesperson.

My wife's has been produced, and it now is available to YOU...

since she changed her mind on one little option and ordered a SECOND one. Go figure. It is a Surf Blue Countryman S All4...and it is set for December delivery in Denver. It is the FIRST order number from our dealer Ralph Schomp (the best in the world) and they have been very accomodating in getting us a second one. However, now this one can be yours.

Interested? I will send you the spec sheet. Just PM me your email and name and I will put you in touch with Schomp and our rep who will get your name on it.

Thanks,

Jonathan

What a coincidence! Ours started production on Monday 11/22 at 9:29am and is also scheduled to be completed on 11/30. Think we can hightail it out of the factory and make it to the port in time to catch the Fidelio on 12/2?

Similar experience here... If Otto's had called me, if ANYONE had called me back in August/Sept when the Order Bank opened up, they would have had my order. I had to push to even get my order in. Just nuts...

I doubt it will make it to the ship by then. Not sure where the ships are leaving from.

I doubt it too but I'll cling to a shred of hope. Ships leave from Bremerhaven. My POC is NY. Ships are scheduled from Bremerhaven on 12/2 and 12/9 that go to NY. So if not the Fidelio on the 2nd, perhaps the Manon on the 9th.

Lo and behold, it is now Nov 30th and my Countryman has been completed and is now at the Port of Exit waiting to be loaded on a RoRo. Though my production schedule slipped severak times, once it started production the stated timeline for completion held up.

Time to move my party to the orther thread now...

Scheduled for production.

How long will this status last?

We are expecting the car in late January.

Your MA should be able to tell you which week production is scheduled for. All depends on allocation and slot.

I believe your production number holds the key to your build. Based upon my number, 6504482, the 4th and 5th number indicated the week, in my case week 44. It was indeed built then, shipping began a few days later. I have no idea as to the meaning of the other numbers, possibly Countryman designators, only BMW Group knows. Other completed build members can either verify this or shoot it down real quickly. As to the slips in production dates we know occurred, while the shortages drove the actual build date, it was scheduled for a certain week.

Coincidence. My car was built week 47 after slipping from 45 to 46 then to 47. The 4th and 5th digits of my production number are 56.

Countryman en route

Well I was interested in the countryman since seeing it at MTTS/MITM. Then I got the $1500.00 off coupon from MTTS. Recently noticed that delivery had to be by 12/31/10 to make the coupon valid.

Really MINI..you couldn't extend the coupon after the first of the year so I could order one?

So as luck would have it MOL had some cars arriving that weren't spoken for. So I bit the bullet and placed a hold on one that started production 11/08/10, Just checked owner lounge and it is enroute to the distribution center.

Has pretty much everthing I wanted, except color..really wanted white

Countryman S All4
Absolute Black Metallic-same color roof, carbon black color line, int surface black checkered
Lounge Leather Light Toffee
Cold weather, Premium pkgs, mini connected and NAV
Black wheels, comfort access, and DTC

So I think it might end up at the dealer around the end of DEC.

Now just have to sell my 07MCS.............

That doesn't make sense because my number is 6552812 and our car was completed & released on 11/30.

Fidelio

I just checked with GM of my dealership and she told not to worry, my Countryman is ready to be shipped, its just waiting at the port in South Hampton. I chose not to correct her. Anybody see a load list for the Fidelio yet?

Congrats MinMor719.

I just got back from MOL, you might want to think, more like the 17th or 18th, if your Countryman is on ship with mine!

You should ask for the specific status code. I've been told same by ASKMINI reps but in reality the car had simply been released to carrier and en route to the port (status 182).

You can search for your VIN using the carrier website but I'm told that information can be at least a week or more behind.

Congrats! You're very fortunate to be able to get a car quickly. My guess is that you'll get the car sooner. Even better for you!

The Fidelio left the port in Germany, Bremerhaven today with the countrymans. You can check on its website, if your VIN is on board. More info in the Countryman transport thread. I think Midnight Blue wanted to get on board that ship. I hope to get on it on the 8th. My MINI is at the port in Southampton.
