R60 Countryman Photos
I had it done to my R56 when I had it....you need to find a good tinter though it might prove to be difficult on the R60 due to the lights being so curved you might have to use a new technique that only certain tint places can do. They actually paint them with a special translucent paint Ive seen this done and it is awesome looking but quite expensive your prob. looking in the nieghborhood of approx. 250-300 bucks but when done right it is great. heres a pic of mine after the tint
good luck bro.

if you dont mind me asking, how much did the window tint cost? i am looking to do pretty much the exact (exterior) build as this, complete black out! looks great by the way!
I posted in the Paceman board about the JCW Paceman that was at my dealer. While there, I also spied a JCW Countryman (along with my very dirty CMS ALL4)...

That was Saturday. Then the snow hit, and there was over a foot of snow in the the NW part of Calgary...

Just a quick note to all the R60 owners that have populated this thread: I appreciate the effort. Our last two MINIs were Pepper White and there was never a question. But this time, with the R60, since we have to choose something else, we've been going back and forth over and over about white/black or black/white and this thread has been a great help, along with a few drives by the dealership for field research.
How does everyone feel about the factory striping? Of of the mind that you just get the third party vinyl and do it yourself, but my wife likes the stock option. If you order them with stripes, are they applied at port and removable or do they clearcoat over them?

The stripes applied either at the MINI plant or the port of entry DO NOT have clear coat on them. They are vinyl stripes placed ON the painted surface of the car. They may appear slightly "shiny," but that's just the semi-gloss vinyl product MINI uses.
If you want to remove them, simply heat 'em up a little (hair dryer works well) and carefully peel them off. Adhesive remover will take off any residual stickiness. If they were under your car's clear coat, they would look awful...and they'd be permanent.
